Knuckles

Em Fundamentos da Linguagem Visual (aula de Desenho) foi sugerido um trabalho em que construiríamos um suporte para transferência de desenho de observação, e esse foi o trabalho que eu produzi. O desenho de observação da soqueira fala sobre a ideia de icone, e de como um objeto pequeno tem um significado grande e forte.
In Foundations of Visual Language (drawing class) was suggested a work of surface construction, where we could transfer an observational drawing to it, and here is what I produced. The observational drawing of a knuckle speaks about the icon idea and how a little object can may contain a bigger and stronger meaning.

Klein Blue

Moulage by Yves Klein / Calvin Klein Fall 2011 / Ultramarine pigment

Em uma aula de pintura da faculdade desvendei um mistério que eu nunca corri atrás de entender. Sempre ouvi falar no tal azul Klein, lindo e vibrante, mas nunca entendi o motivo do "Klein" no nome. Eu sempre associava ao azul típico de Calvin Klein, até que minha professora me apresentou as obras de Yves Klein: o minimalista obcecado pelo azul ultramar que patenteou a cor com o seu nome. Segundo ela, a obra mais impressionante é essa escultura da esquerda, em que o artista "grudou" o pó do pigmento e posicionou em frente a uma folha de ouro, e pra quem vê ao vivo a imponência da cor é impactante.
Once in a painting class I figured out a big mystery in my head. I always heard about that Klein blue, beautiful and vibrant, but never understood the reason of the "Klein" name. I always related to the typical blue in Calvin Klein collections, until my teacher presented me to the works of Yves Klein, the minimal artist obsessed with the ultramarine blue that patented this color with his name. According to her the most impressive work of him is this sculpture from the left, wich he "glued" the ultramarine pigment powder and positioned it against a golden foil. For those who see it the impact of the color is striking.

Raf Des Garçons // Comme Des Simons

Pensei em várias formas de como começar esse post, já que faz um tempo bem grande entre esse e o anterior. Desde lá meus dias têm sido bastante agitados, muitos acontecimentos já no início do ano. Mas isso ficará prum post resumão que farei depois! Mas antes, gostaram do novo visual? Fiz o cabeçalho usando carvão usando a mesma fonte que já adotei pra sempre, além do espaço estar maior para as fotos ficarem mais bonitas também. Vamos ao que importa...
I thought about many ways of how I could start this post. There's a huge gap between this and the last one. My days have been full of events and happenings. But this is subject for another post. Before we talk about the look, did you like my new header? It's made of charcoal and I decided to keep the font. The width has increased too, so the pictures look better now. So, let's talk about what matters...

Uma vez eu estava na loja de tecidos que tem aqui perto da minha casa dando uma olhada já que precisava de algo novo pra usar numa festa. Ví essa estampa de pois bem grandinha e aconteceu tudo isso na minha cabeça:
Once I was inside the fabric store near my home looking for something good to wear for a party. Then I saw this polka dots pattern and all this happened in my head:

O resultado disso tudo foi essa blusa, com o shape das blusas da coleção S/S 2012 de Raf Simons com o romantismo da estampa de bolas de Comme Des Garçons.
The result of all this was that blouse with the shape seen on Raf Simons S/S 2012 with the romantic feel of Comme Des Garçons polka dots.

Esses sapatos eu achei numa loja no centro de Porto Alegre, bem popular. São sapatos de segurança. Adoro o fato deles serem grosseiros e a sola ser parecida com as de coturno. Eles me lembram os sapatos da Dr Martens, só que o preço deles não é nem 1% do que custa um Dr Martens. HEHE Já pensei em pintá-los com spray de tinta em alguma cor pastel,e deixar o solado preto.
These shoes I found at a very popular store in downtown Porto Alegre, and they are security shoes. I love the way they look gross. Reminds me of Dr Martens shoes but it isn't like 1% of what a Dr Martens costs. HEHE I thought of spray paint them in a pastel color and keep the black sole.
